Africa People Advisory Group is proud to present this first edition of the Africa Human Resources Metrics Benchmark Report.
We live in the age of increased reliance on data and information.
This transformation is accelerated by organisations depending more on data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
Why the need for human resources metrics?
The field of Human Resources (HR) has and continues to develop into a technology-based profession. However, amidst the technology and data revolution, HR professionals often still rely on instinct and experience to inform strategic decision making.
Fact-based decision-making in HR is now more important than ever. The field now commonly known as Workforce Analytics is one of the fastest growing areas in the professional domain today.
Why an Africa only report?
To support internal evidence-based decision-making, organisations often rely on benchmark data, but benchmark data in HR is hard to come by, especially across Africa. Organisations rely on benchmark data that are not applicable to the unique Africa work circumstances or is clouded by global benchmarks. It is out of this need that this inaugural survey was born.
We would like to thank all the participating organisations that submitted data and that worked with us in refining the outcome. It is our intent to grow the survey to provide more representative and robust data into the future. We call on organisations across the continent to participate.
The report contains benchmark data from across the African continent against 25 people and business metrics.
